Posted: 13 Oct 2009 Last night on BBC1 at 19.00.hrs The One Show had a nice piece on the captive breeding of Sand Lizards at Marwell zoo showing the B.H.S reptillary, I well remember digging up the heather turfs on Canford Heath whilst Paul Edgar drove the lorry back and forth to Marwell many years back. They then had Nick Moulton releasing the juveniles in West Dorset on a couple of sites, one of which has had a lot of B.H.S. Sunday task work to get it into shape. It can be seen at http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00n9mdf/The_One_Show_1 2_10_2009/ and comes on at about 23 minutes into the show.
